Ceramic artist John Steger was one of over 300 artists at the South Minneapolis Art Fair (SoMi) held Aug. 2-3, 2025 at Bachman’s on Lyndale Avenue. People admired art demonstrations, heard live music, and enjoyed food. The art show was produced by the creators of the Uptown Art Fair, and raised money for the organization. This year marked the second year at the new location, a shift from the 60 years the Uptown Art Fair was held along Hennepin Ave. “This exciting evolution marks a pivotal moment for the Uptown Art Fair, reflecting its resilience and commitment to adapting to the complexities of hosting large-scale urban events while addressing the changing needs of the community,” said Jill Osiecki, director of Uptown Art Fair.
