Porch Fest makes a splash

For the third annual Uptown Porchfest on Saturday, Aug. 16, 2025, 87 bands played on 35 porches scattered throughout the Wedge neighborhood. Attendees discovered new music and old favorites during the afternoon event organized and staffed by volunteers. The event website pointed out: “The Replacements got their start here, Rhymesayers was rooted here for decades, and musical shoutouts from Prince (and countless others) highlight the true fashion of Uptown as a place where anybody can be themselves and find support and community along the way.”
