People who drive through and/or live near 42nd Street in Kingfield have asked us about the new crosswalks and bollards up at the 1st Avenue and Stevens Avenue intersections. If you're wondering "why can't I turn onto 1st Avenue or Stevens Avenue anymore?" the answer is: safety.

These bollards and crosswalks are part of the Vision Zero project that we reported on in April. If you want to check out what other projects are going on, this is a useful page to bookmark.

Speaking of 42nd Street...don't worry Kingfield, you can now walk to get your hair done. Salon Blonde just opened up next to Royal Grounds Coffee, at 314 W. 42nd Street. The grand opening is tomorrow night at 6-9 p.m. Even if your hair is perfect the way it is, feel free to drop in and say hi to your new neighbors.
