The Lake Harriet Bandshell should be blue! This is an issue that I am not impartial about. When I was growing up, the building had a beautiful, sky blue coat of paint on it before it was replaced with the brown shade it has today.

With the Park Board planning to repaint the building in the months to come, Steve Brandt wrote a piece for us about bringing back the blue color. He's also launched an online petition to tell the Park Board how many people agree. Check it out and start dreaming about returning the bandshell to its rightful color.

Henry Pan caught up with Southwest Minneapolis' representative to the Met Council, John Pacheco, Jr. As Henry says in the piece: "The Metropolitan Council is a powerful body you probably have never heard of."

Pacheco talked at length about his experience riding transit as a kid, safety on the system, free fares, and more. Check out the piece to learn a bit more about what he plans to bring to the Met Council.
