The Hennepin County Attorney’s Office has charged Dijon Jacquez Davis with second degree murder for the killing of Justin “Juice” Marshall in a shooting that took place outside of Mortimer’s on July 25, 2025. The Minneapolis Police Department released this information on April 6.

Davis pled guilty to one count of second-degree murder on April 6. He is scheduled to be sentenced on May 7 and faces 22 years in prison, according to reporting by KSTP.

Davis had a nationwide warrant out for his arrest for attempted murder in North Minneapolis on June 10, 2025. He was taken into custody on or around July 30, 2025, five days after he was suspected of killing Marshall.

The original complaint against Davis said he “presents a serious risk to public safety.”

Many people in Southwest Minneapolis knew Marshall as a friendly bagger and security guard at the Kowalski’s on Lyndale Avenue. He also DJed at a local gym and neighborhood organization parties.
