Speaking of engaged readers, Cecelia Caspram submitted an op-ed titled "Why is the City of Minneapolis so committed to its status quo?" in which she argues that the appointment of Heather Johnston to the city coordinator position is an example of systemic racism perpetuating itself. "Within massive systems like the City of Minneapolis, systemic racism persists because inertia, so-called 'collegial relationships,' expediency, and the like usually win the day."
