The main eastbound Interstate 394 lanes between Highway 100 and downtown Minneapolis are now open as a major project to repair 30-plus bridges that carry I-394 and I-94 nears completion, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.

The following roads, ramps and bridges are now open:

• Eastbound I-394 between Highway 100 and downtown Minneapolis
• I-94 between Highway 55 and the Lowry Hill Tunnel
• Penn Avenue bridge over I-394
• I-394 ramps to/from Penn Avenue
• Eastbound I-394 to westbound I-94
• Cedar Lake Road to eastbound I-394
• Xenia Avenue/Park Place Boulevard to eastbound I-394
The Linden Avenue ramp to westbound I-394 will reopen tomorrow morning, Tuesday, Nov. 3.

While the main eastbound and westbound I-394 lanes are open in this area, the E-ZPass lanes between Highway 100 and downtown Minneapolis will remain closed until later this week to allow crews to test and confirm all E-ZPass technology is working properly.

Drivers should also expect occasional overnight directional closures of I-394 through November as crews install overhead signs and conduct other work across the corridor — including a westbound I-394 closure between Highway 100 and downtown Minneapolis starting 11 p.m. tonight, Monday, Nov. 2 through 5 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 3.

All construction activities and traffic impacts are weather dependent and subject to change.
